Completing the Introductory or Intermediate Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting before attempting the Diploma in Accounting and Business is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended for better preparation.

ACCA offers a structured set of entry-level qualifications under the Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) programme. Upon successfully completing nine examinations, students are awarded the FIA qualification.

Foundations in Accountancy – Exit-Level Qualifications

Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) offers the following qualifications upon completion of the respective exams:

As you progress through the programme, you will also earn recognised milestones, including the Introductory Certificate and Intermediate Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting, the Diploma in Accounting and Business, and the widely respected Certified Accounting Technician (CAT) qualification.

After successfully completing the Diploma in Accounting and Business at the Foundation level, you may progress to the ACCA qualification. At this stage, you will be eligible to start from Paper F4, as completion of the Diploma grants exemptions from Papers F1, F2, and F3.
