Program Objectives:
The programme is designed to provide participants with the knowledge they will require in order to:
- Analyse tourism development proposals
- Produce viable and sustainable tourism policies and strategies.
• To provide qualifications in tourism and business studies that combines both subject knowledge and industry experience that is essential for the Learner’s career advancement.
• To equip Learners with the customer service, travel and tourism industry analysis, hospitality management and administration skills, knowledge and understanding necessary to achieve in the domestic and international business environment.
• To provide an applied balance between employability skills and the knowledge essential for the Learner’s career advancement or academic aspirations.
• To provide opportunities for Learners to develop the skills, techniques and personal attributes essential for successful working lives within the business industry.
Overview of knowledge, understanding and skills
The Level Certificate Tourism and Business Studies the starting point for Learners with limited knowledge and experience of Tourism and Business. Please note the Diploma is only awarded when the Certificate has been completed.
On successful completion of these qualifications, Learners are equipped with a range of skills including, but not limited to:
• Developing business within the travel and tourism industry.
• Incorporating theory and concepts into business strategies.
• Analysing Impact and major trends of tourism.
• Applying customer service and hospitality management methods within travel and tourism
Career Opportunities
These qualifications prepares Learners to undertake a variety of roles in tourism and the business industry.
Following successful completion of the qualification, Learners could:
• Seek employment in business tourism related roles.
• Go on to further work in specialist tourism and business areas.
• Further their studies in tourism and business studies or a specific business area.
Duration:
The ICM Diploma programme is structured over 3 years—with 2 years of classroom study followed by 1 year of internship. Please note that the internship year is optional, and you may graduate after 2 years if you successfully pass all your examinations.

Exams are held online, with a timetable and scope provided by Lecturers. Learners must keep their webcams on for supervision
