This qualification focuses on contemporary research and current issues to engage Learners through hands-on practical work, debate and independent study, placing ethical and social issues at the core of the qualification.

Qualification aims and objectives
The aim of the ICM Psychology is to enable Learners to develop an understanding of the relationship between psychology and personal, ethical, social and cultural issues. The qualification also aims to provide Learners with the ability to interpret psychological research and apply the findings to their health and lifestyle behaviour. Learners will become aware of a range of research skills and use these to critically investigate phenomena from the social and biological approaches to psychology.
The objectives of the ICM Psychology are to enable Learners to:
• Gain insight into psychology as a subject and in the everyday world
• Acquire skills associated with psychology as an academic discipline
• Apply their knowledge and skills in social and workplace circumstances
